As the weather cools and everyone settles into their fall routines, our watchlists start to shift too. I had a conversation with two sophomores Natanya and Abby on what are the top shows and movies that fall into the fall spirit. After speaking with students and comparing favorites, ten titles stood out as the ones being revisited most this fall.

TV Shows

1. My Babysitter’s a Vampire: A teenager discovers his little sister’s new babysitter is a vampire, pulling him and his friends into a series of supernatural events involving monsters, magic, and other paranormal threats in their town.
2. Stranger Things: In a small Indiana town in the 1980s, a boy goes missing as a girl with psychokinetic abilities escapes from a government lab, leading his friends and family to uncover a dangerous alternate dimension called the Upside Down.
3. The Vampire Diaries: A high school girl named Elena becomes involved with two vampire brothers, Stefan and Damon Salvatore, while the town of Mystic Falls faces ongoing conflicts involving witches, werewolves, vampires, and ancient curses.
4. American Horror Story Coven: A group of young witches attend Miss Robichaux’s Academy in New Orleans, where they train to control their powers while dealing with internal rivalries, outside threats, and the search for the next Supreme witch.
5. Scream Queens: A masked killer begins targeting members of the Kappa Kappa Tau sorority, forcing students and faculty at a college campus to uncover the murderer’s identity while navigating a string of connected attacks.

Films

1. The Craft: Four high school girls form a coven and begin practicing witchcraft, but their use of magic leads to dangerous consequences as their powers become stronger and interpersonal conflicts escalate.
2. Practical Magic: Two sisters from a family of witches struggle with a generations-old curse that ruins their relationships, leading them to confront the death of an abusive man whose spirit returns to haunt them.
3. Coraline: A young girl discovers a hidden door in her new home that leads to an alternate world resembling her own, only to realize the “Other Mother” who created it intends to trap her there forever.

5. Little Women: The March sisters  Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy —grow up during the Civil War era, each navigating family life, personal ambition, and the challenges of adulthood as their paths diverge and reconnect.
