Monthly Munchies: April
Omelette
Ingredients:
- 2 eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- A pinch(1/16 and ⅛ of a teaspoon) salt
- A pinch(1/16 and ⅛ of a teaspoon) pepper
- Filling ingredients (may include): cheese, bell pepper, salsa, ham, spinach, tomatoes, bacon, veggies, sausage, and so much more
Directions:
- Whisk eggs, milk, salt and pepper
- Spay an 8 inch non-stick skillet with cooking spray or use a little bit of butter(enough to cover the bottom and sides of the skillet. Heat over medium heat.
- Pour in the egg mixture. As eggs set around the edge of the skillet, with spatula, gently lift the sides of the egg mixture checking to see if the sides are cooked. Then gently tilt the skillet to allow the uncooked egg to fill into any empty spaces on the pan.
- When eggs are almost set on the surface but still look moist, cover half of the omelette with your selected filling ingredients. (Keep note on how much you add because if it is too full it may be harder to flip.)
- Now slip the spatula underneath the unfilled side; fold over onto the filled half.
- Cook for one more minute, then carefully slide the omelette onto the plate to enjoy.
