Sign Up for Journalism and Broadcast!

The Ram Media program includes:

  • Valor Dictus Media, which publishes student-generated news writing, photography and video on social media, online and in print
  • Good Morning Robinson, a morning television broadcast featuring student-generated news
  • Ram Network, an after-school program that features live online broadcasts of sports and academic events
Programs are student-led, with student editors and producers coordinating coverage
among student reporters, photographers and technicians. Journalism and broadcast
are elective classes, but all students are welcome to participate in any aspect of journalism.

How Can You Contribute?

Valor Dictus Media is looking for:

  • a web master well versed in Word Press
  • reporters & photographers to attend sports & academic events
  • bloggers to comment on social issues or life at Robinson
  • opinion writers to submit letters or personal columns

Good Morning Robinson is looking for:

  • guest anchors to represent specific groups and activities
  • videographers and photographers
  • volunteers who can help cover events before and after school

Ram Network is looking for:

  • announcers who can call sports events or other live events
  • researchers who can provide statistics to support announcers
  • technicians who can help set up, operate and pack equipment

Fill out the Google form to become a stringer. Then meet with a student editor during Raise, Wednesdays after school or during E lunch in E219 to get an assignment and get published!

Interested in taking journalism as a class?

No experience is necessary, and students who will be freshmen, sophomores, juniors or seniors next year are encouraged to sign up. Sign up for “Journalism 1” or “Broadcast 1” and you’ll become part of the Valor Dictus staff as part of your work in class. Talk with your counselor if you need help signing up.
