In the first district tournament for any sport this fall season the Robinson golf team finished fourth overall in last week’s Concorde District Tournament held on the Lakes Course at Twin Lakes Park.

          “We are a little disappointed with the way we finished, I thought that we could have been at least second,” senior golfer Michael Buckley said.

           Buckley and fellow seniors Jason Caputo, Michael Jacobs, Jon Woodruff, and Alex Robinson joined junior Drew Johnson and sophomore Nick Fontanilla on the Rams district tournament squad.

           Robinson finished in the top eight in the district tournament which qualified him for the regional tournament which starts today at Twin Lakes.

           “I am excited to be able to play in [the region tournament], but I wish we had qualified as a team,” Robinson said.

            During the regular season team matches the Rams also finished fourth in the Concorde, but according to Caputo they played better as a team than they did in the tournament.

            Caputo said, “I feel like the [district] tournament does not accurately portray how well we played this year.”
