It is a new season and a new beginning for the professional soccer teams in Europe. Soccer fans all over the world have been anticipating a new season since their favorite sport and mode of entertainment had gone for a break after the end of the last season.
Last season was a record breaking one! Real Madrid broke their own record by winning the Uefa champions league and adding up to their total to become 15. Manchester City on the other hand, continued to prove themselves as they won yet another premier league. They silenced their haters as many of them said that they wouldn’t win any trophies. The season has already started and time for talking is over. Erling Haaland is shocking the world as he is scoring goals and breaking records. No wonder, they call him ‘the goal scoring machine’. Kylian Mbappe finally found his way into Real Madrid after staying in Paris Saint Germain(PSG) for a long time. He is so happy to have joined the best team in the world as many would like to but they could not. It was the best time for him to join them as they immediately won another trophy which is the Uefa super cup. Real Madrid is really shocking the world as they have very young and talented players. They also have a well experienced coach.
The teams that won trophies and broke records the last season are hoping to continue with their streak one more time. The rest of the teams that went trophyless are holding on to their hope and facing the pressure to win at least one trophy.
Fans are arguing and defending their favorite teams even if some didn’t perform very well last season. The players are really hoping to improve and help their teams, especially the ones who are considered to be the backbone of the team who really provide help when it is most needed.
Fans also feel a huge gap left after two of the biggest talents in soccer history left Europe and went to play in other continents that is Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Soccer fans claim that when they were in Europe, soccer in Europe had a different taste. Right now, new talents are being nurtured like Erling Haalad, Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Junior, Jamal Musiala and Lamine Yamal. Even if they are showing to have a bright future, many say that they won’t reach the level of Messi and Ronaldo.
Manchester United are still being mocked as they continue to have high hopes for the upcoming season. They still continue to live in their past glory as they were very successful before,but now, they can’t really have much pride as they finished the last season at number 8 in the Premier league.
The bad days continue for Manchester United as they were beaten by Liverpool mercilessly in a match that ended 3-0. The interesting part is that they were beaten at Old Trafford which is their home stadium. One thing about soccer is that things can turn around and so, Manchester United still stands a chance to become great again.
Pep Guardiola, one of the best coaches in the world, shocked many as he is still in Manchester City. Many expected him to leave as he has made Manchester City very successful. Since his arrival at the team in 2016, they have won 17 trophies and they have never gone trophyless in any season ever since Guardiola joined them. No one can say that Manchester City is not a big team now. They’ve been able to defeat strong teams like Real Madrid and they’ve broken very many records in the Premier league.
Harry Kane joined Bayern Munich last season after he left Tottenham Hotspur and he has really shocked many. He became the top scorer with 36 goals in the Bundesliga just in his first season. Bayern Munich fans love him and they expect him to do even better. Bayer Leverkusen were on another level as they went undefeated last season and they even won the Bundesliga.
After the season ended, the players went to play for their international teams. It was interesting to see because the Uefa Euros and the Copa America took place at the same time. The euros were won by Spain after they defeated England in a match that ended 2-1. On the other hand, Argentina won the Copa America again and they retained their glory. They defeated Colombia in a match that ended 1-0.
The last season was a special one and it will be remembered by many. The next season has already started and there is a lot of hope and expectation from the fans.. All that the fans can do is support their teams and leave the work for the players. Above all, may the best team win!
THE END OF AN ERA AND THE BEGINNING OF A NEW ONE
It came as a shock to many fans to see how some of their favorite players have left Europe with most of them moving to Saudi Arabia. Most of them have achieved the best in Europe and they have decided to look for a new challenge.
It goes without saying that Saudi Arabia is paying them well since it’s not easy to bring players from Europe. Cristiano Ronaldo was the first player to leave Europe and joined Al-Nassr which is a very famous team there. Soon after that, the Saudi Pro league gained a lot of following, leading to more players going to play there.
On the other hand, the Major League Soccer (MLS) has also gained a lot of following. Inter Miami, which is a team in the MLS, managed to convince Lionel Messi to join them. Messi had completed his contract with Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and many expected him to go back to Barcelona but he had a different play in mind. He was in Barcelona for many years and he set very high records there. He also decided to look for a new challenge.
Soon after Messi joined Inter Miami, he was joined by Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba who were his former teammates in Barcelona. Later, Luis Suarez joined them and the team became very strong since they now have some of the best players in the world.
Last season, Inter Miami was among the bottom five teams in the Eastern Conference of the MLS. After the incredible signing of very high talents, Inter Miami is currently at the top position and they are really doing well. David Beckham, one of the owners of Inter Miami, played a very big role in convincing them to come because he also used to play in Europe and he knew them very well.
Even if some of the best players are leaving Europe, Europe has young and new soccer players. Of course, they don’t have the level of experience that Messi and Ronaldo have but they are doing well. The competition in Europe is still a stiff one and a very interesting one.
Some teams like Real Madrid have renovated their stadiums and have signed new players, they have prepared themselves for the new season. Right now, many fans believe that Haaland and Mbappe are the new talents expected to take over and follow the steps of Messi and Ronaldo. Messi and Ronaldo are the best soccer players in the world and they have built a very big legacy in soccer that will be remembered by everyone not only in Europe but the whole world.
Many people are asking themselves if Mbappe and Haaland are up to the task. Statistics show that they are doing well but if you compare them to how Messi and Ronaldo were at their age, they are still not even close to them. With the beginning of a new era in soccer, fans are hoping to see how this one goes. The question is, “Will this new era in soccer be better or worse than the previous one?”
