Scrimmages Galore: Key Events for This Week and Beyond

Robinson’s spring athletics will be heavily involved in team scrimmages all throughout the week as they gear up for the start of the regular season.

Beginning with Monday, March 6, JV baseball participates in a home scrimmage at 5:00 PM, and varsity baseball goes up against South County in an away scrimmage, also starting at 5:00 PM. In addition, girls tennis takes on McLean in a 4:00 PM scrimmage on the road.

The following day, Tuesday, March 7, girls tennis once again participates in a scrimmage on the road, taking on South County at 4:00 PM. Varsity and JV softball both take on Broad Run at 6:00 PM, with the varsity scrimmage set to take place on the road and the JV scrimmage set to take place at Robinson’s own Barry Gorodnick Field. Girls JV and varsity lacrosse scrimmage against Battlefield; both events are scheduled to occur at home, with the JV scrimmage commencing at 6:00 PM, followed by the varsity scrimmage at 7:30 PM.

Then, on Wednesday, March 8, boys tennis scrimmages against Flint Hill on the road, starting at 4:00 PM. Boys JV and varsity soccer both kick off against C.D. Hylton at home; the JV scrimmage starts at 5:45 PM, followed by the varsity scrimmage at 7:00 PM.

On Thursday, March 9, varsity baseball takes on McLean at home at 5:00 PM, which is also the start time for JV baseball’s scrimmage against McLean on the road. Girls JV and varsity soccer both scrimmage against Colonial Forge at home that same day. The JV scrimmage kicks off at 5:45 PM, after which the varsity scrimmage kicks off at 7:15 PM.

This Friday, March 10, varsity and JV softball compete against Fairfax at 6:00 PM. Varsity softball’s scrimmage will take place on the road, while JV softball’s scrimmage is set to take place at home. Also at 6:00 PM, girls varsity lacrosse takes on Paul VI at home, followed by a home contest for girls JV lacrosse at 7:30 PM.

Finally, on Saturday, March 11, boys JV and varsity lacrosse both take on Atlee on the road at noon. At 1:00 PM, boys tennis will compete on the road against Lake Braddock.
