Drew Rummel: Freshman on the varsity tennis team

Q: What motivates you to compete?
A: “When I play, I love to play and fight against the other person and push myself to the limit. I want to be the best that I can be and I find it fun to push myself. It gives me a place to forget about everything and just train.”

Q: What makes you unique?

A: “I train everyday with the same intensity and passion as when I play a match. It doesn’t matter who I play. I will still try to beat them in any way possible.”

Q: How does what you do make you feel?

A: “I love to play tennis. It pushes me physically, mentally, and emotionally. I have to work out every part of my body in order to play at my best level, but also maintain the right technique for each shot. It is very challenging, which makes it a fun sport to play.”
