Looking Ahead to Robinson Sports: Jan. 30 and Beyond

Heading into the final week of the first semester at Robinson, many significant winter athletic events are scheduled to occur.
While no sporting events are scheduled for Monday, there are several events set to take place on Tuesday, Jan. 31. All Robinson basketball teams will play against Oakton, with girls teams at home and boys teams set to take place on the road. Boys and girls freshman games will begin at 4:30 PM, followed by boys and girls JV games at 5:45 PM and boys and girls varsity games at 7:30 PM. Robinson will also compete in the Region 6A North Boys Dive tournament, which will kick off at Oak Marr RECenter at 5:30 PM.
Then, on Wednesday, Feb. 1, coed winter outdoor track will hold its interest meeting, at 3:00 PM on the track. Varsity rifle will compete against West Springfield at home, starting at 4:00 PM. In addition, Robinson will compete in the Region 6A North Girls Dive tournament, which will kick off at Oak Marr RECenter at 5:30 PM. Finally, varsity gymnastics will participate in the conference tournament at Centreville, starting at 6:30 PM.
On Thursday, Feb. 2, Robinson boys swim will compete in the regional preliminary round, starting at 5:30 PM at Oak Marr. Girls and boys freshman basketball teams will both play Centreville on Thursday. Both are away games, with girls freshman set to commence at 6:00 PM, followed by boys freshman at 7:15 PM.
Next, on Friday, Feb. 3, varsity wrestling will compete at the Concorde Conference, which is to begin at noon at Westfield. Additionally, girls swim will compete in the regional preliminary round, beginning at 5:30 PM at Oak Marr. Boys JV basketball is set to match up against Centreville at 5:45 PM at home, followed by girls varsity at 6:00 PM at Centreville, boys varsity at 7:30 PM at Centreville, and girls JV at 7:30 PM at home.
Lastly, on Saturday, Feb. 4, boys and girls swim will both compete in the Region 6A North Swim Finals, which, once again, will take place at Oak Marr at 5:30 PM.
