Looking Ahead to Robinson Sports: Dec. 12 and Beyond

Heading into Winter Break, while sports schedules are notably relaxed, some notable events and competitions still remain for Robinson athletics.

On Monday, Dec. 12, boys varsity basketball will go up against Osbourn Park in a 7:30 PM home game, in what is the only Robinson sporting event of the day. On the following day, Tuesday, Dec. 13, there are no events for Robinson athletics.

JV wrestling is scheduled to compete in a multiple-school tournament at home on Wednesday, Dec. 14, beginning at 6:00 PM.  On Thursday, Dec. 15, varsity rifle takes on Washington-Lee, with the contest set to start at 5:00 PM.

Then, on Friday, Dec. 16, all boys and girls basketball teams will play against Stonebridge. All boys teams will play at home, with girls teams set to play on the road. The start times for each game are as follows: 4:30 PM for boys and girls freshman basketball,  5:45 PM for boys and girls JV, and 7:30 PM for boys and girls varsity. On the same day, coed indoor track competes against multiple schools on the road, and the event is scheduled to commence at 5:00 PM. Robinson’s coed swim and dive team will kick off against Chantilly, with the event scheduled to occur at South Run at 6:30 PM.

Finally, on Saturday, Dec. 17, Robinson wrestling will compete in Delaware at the Beast of the East tournament, with a separate Robinson wrestling team set to compete at the Cavalier Classic tournament at Woodson at 8:00 AM. Coed indoor track will compete at 9:00 AM at Prince George’s Sports & Learning Complex.
