On Wednesday, February 20 at 7, the Republican Women of Clifton (RWC) met at Fairview Elementary for their monthly meeting.

According to their website, the group is “the fastest growing Republican Women’s club in Northern Virginia”. The meeting, which was attended by about 100 members, hosted three different speakers. The first two speakers, Dr. Ileana Johnson and Martha Boneta, spoke about the UN agenda and property rights.

The third speaker, Stephanie Reis, spoke about the treatment of women in Islamic society and how “the Hijab is a catalyst for Islamism because it leads to mentality of passive terrorism and silent support for the Sharia Law in Western societies”, according to the RWC site.

Reis is the founder and former leader of the Omaha Act, and said the Hijab and Islam were undermining the United States.

Before the meeting, the Council on American-Islamic Relations asked FCPS Superintendent Jack Dale to revoke the approval for the RWC to use Fairview for their monthly meetings. However, the request was turned down by Dale who said that “after school hours anyone may rent the public facility”, according to the Washington Post.
